This course isn’t about giving you a list of rules to follow or techniques to master. It’s about going back to the blueprint—God’s design for marriage—and building from there. In this course you will:
• Understand that marriage was God’s idea and discover His purposes for it
• Learn how to communicate and handle conflict in ways that bring healing, not destruction
• Examine your expectations and roles with honesty and humility
• Align your finances and future planning around stewardship and trust
• Cultivate healthy intimacy—emotional, spiritual, and physical
• Build spiritual unity that creates a legacy for generations
The goal isn’t to make your marriage perfect. It is to help your marriage become everything God designed it to be. When you build on the right foundation, storms don’t destroy your marriage—they strengthen it.

Andrew F. Carter is the founder and lead pastor of Royal City Church in Los Angeles, a husband and father, and the author of The Privilege of Prayer and Pray First Challenge. He and his wife have planted Royal City Church together, walking through the same highs and lows of marriage and family every couple faces. Built to Last, his new six-session course for XO Marriage, comes out of that lived experience: a conviction that marriage doesn't hold together on love or effort alone, it holds together when it's built on Christ.
