You've experienced a breakthrough in your own marriage and want to help other couples find the same.
You're a pastor or church leader who wants to bring intensive marriage coaching to your congregation.
You feel called to marriage ministry but don't know where to start or what tools to use.

The Certification Experience
Step One
Prepare
Before your in-person training begins, you'll complete 56 hours of distance learning through XO's digital platform, including professionally produced video content, downloadable templates, and practical guides. This prepares your heart and mind for your 3-day in-person training.
Step Two
Apply
Experience the intensive process from the client's perspective by participating in a 4-hour practicum with a senior XO Marriage coach. You'll gain firsthand insight into the intensive experience from both sides of the conversation, deepening your understanding of the process and strengthening your ability to guide couples through it. You'll leave this practicum confident and equipped.

Step Three
Train
Your 3-day in-person training is where preparation becomes practice. In a small-group format, you'll work through role-playing exercises, case studies, and interactive workshops led by experienced XO Marriage coaches. You'll develop the skills to conduct Marriage Intensives, guiding couples through real-time breakthroughs and teaching them how to do marriage God's way. Lunch and snacks are provided during all training sessions.

Step Four
Network
When you become a Certified XO Marriage Coach, your training doesn't end. You'll join the XO Marriage Coach Network, where you'll receive ongoing support as you begin helping couples thrive. Your first year of network membership is included with certification.
Network For Coaches
Certification is just the beginning. As part of the XO Marriage Coach Network, you'll have access to mentorship, referrals, curriculum resources, continuing education opportunities, and a community of like-minded coaches dedicated to strengthening marriages through biblical principles. You won't be building your coaching ministry alone.

Work at the Belief Level
Learn the ABC Model, the foundation of XO's marriage intensive approach. You'll understand how beliefs drive behaviors and how to help couples move beneath the surface of conflict to uncover the root beliefs driving it.
Coach With Proven Tools
Master the XO Marriage toolkit, including Covenant vs. Contract thinking, the Four Laws of Love, THINK or SINK, and the Marital Balance framework. These are the same tools couples call life-changing. You'll know how to confidently use every one of them.
Create Space for Breakthrough
Coaching isn't just knowing the tools. It's about creating an environment where couples feel safe enough to be honest and open to change. You'll learn to facilitate a Bible-based experience where couples feel heard, challenged, and genuinely seen. That's where God does His best work.

The battle is in the mind, and the good news is, the mind is the one thing we can control. Counseling often serves a different purpose. Licensed counselors and therapists are trained to address issues such as mental and emotional disorders, abuse, and addiction. We leave those situations to licensed professionals and focus on teaching couples how to do marriage God's way so they can experience lasting restoration.
